Please join us for a Workshop on Relationships & Marriage
What: Potluck Brunch and Discussion on Bahá’í courtship and marriage
When: Sunday, April 10th, 10:30am to 1:30pm
Where: San Francisco Bahá’í Center, Fireside Room, 170 Valencia Street
Baha’u’lláh describes marriage as a “fortress for well-being and salvation.” Shoghi Effendi, when describing the steps we should take before marrying someone, explains, “Each must, however, exercise the utmost care to become thoroughly acquainted with the character of the other, that the binding covenant between them may be a tie that will endure forever.”
Sounds great, but what does this look like in our every day lives? How can we achieve these lofty goals in our intimate relationships? How do we deal with the pressures and expectations of our surrounding society and culture that place very different values on dating and marriage? Come to share brunch and to discuss these questions and many more!
Please RSVP to [email protected] if you plan to attend. Invite your friends! It should be a lively discussion.
